The short answer
For a tutor working alone, these platforms differ most in how the price grows from a handful of students. HighScores.ai, StudySpaces and VindicaOS publish a price per student; EdisonOS and VEGA AI publish plans; Test Innovators publishes student plans with a discount for educators; TutorWand and PanoPrep price per test. PrepMora, MentoMind, PrepareBuddy and Test Ninjas do not publish prices for tutoring businesses. Nearly all of them let you try something first, as the table shows.
We make PrepMora, so we list it first and mark it as ours; the other eleven follow in alphabetical order, with no ranking. Every fact comes from each company's own website, checked on 24 October 2026, and no company paid to be listed. The same twelve are compared on everything else in our list of SAT platforms for tutoring centers, and on white-label in our list of white-label SAT platforms.
What matters when you tutor on your own
A center weighs teacher accounts and campuses. A tutor working alone weighs other things:
- A price that works at five students. Per student, per test or a plan, and whether there is a minimum, a contract or a setup fee.
- Something to try first. A trial, a free account or a free test, ideally with your own students.
- Less admin between sessions. Tests that score themselves, and a report on each student you can read before the next session.
- Parent updates that do not take your evenings. Who writes them, who sends them, and what they say.
- The exams you teach. The SAT only, or the ACT, ISEE or SSAT as well.
- Your own brand, if you want it. Families see your business rather than the platform's; our white-label list compares that part.

The twelve, one by one
PrepMora first, as ours, then the rest in alphabetical order. Each entry says whom the platform is sold to, how its price is built, what you can try first and how parents hear from you, as the company's own website describes it.
PrepMora
PrepMora is sold to independent SAT tutors as well as to tutoring centers and academies, and not to students on their own. Every tutor or academy starts with a 30-minute demo call, where the price is gone through: it depends on the number of students and the plan length. A one-week free trial for your students follows, already under your brand, and white-label is included at no extra cost. It covers only the digital SAT: 40 full-length tests in the Bluebook format, a mentor panel that opens on what needs attention today, and a parent report draft every two weeks that you edit and send yourself.
EdisonOS
EdisonOS sells to solo tutors, with a Basic plan for them, and to tutoring businesses, schools and community programs, not to students. It publishes its plans, monthly or yearly, with test credits or per-student licences on top and a cost estimator, so you can estimate your cost before a call; Enterprise and schools are priced by quote. It offers a free trial, and each student's first test is free; its help center says white-labelling is not available during the trial. It covers the digital SAT, ACT, PSAT, SHSAT and five AP subjects, and lets you build tests from your own questions as well as its library.
HighScores.ai
HighScores.ai has a page for tutors and publishes a yearly price per student for them, lower at volume. You buy a licence only for each student you add, invoiced in batches of 10. There is no trial as such, but setting up an institute is a free account with no card and no licence purchase, and prospects can take free diagnostic tests; white-label is free from 21 students, with a one-time fee below that. It covers the SAT, ACT, PSAT, SHSAT, HSPT and TACHS, plus the SSAT Middle Level and the ISEE Lower Level (its tutor page lists other levels as coming soon), and sends parents a full score report by link, with no account needed.
MentoMind
MentoMind sells to tutoring businesses and institutions, and to students directly. It does not publish prices for businesses: each gets a quote, and its licence agreement provides for a one-time setup fee. Students get a free plan, and businesses get a demo. It covers the digital SAT, ACT and HSPT with more courses, and lets a tutoring business collect payments from families in the same platform.
PanoPrep
PanoPrep sells full-length digital SAT mock tests to students, priced per paper with the first paper free, and runs a console for schools and centers, which get a quote by student count and paper volume. If you mainly want mock tests, it offers 26 full-length papers written by its test experts, run in test rooms with a passcode, with class analytics down to each answer choice. Its website does not describe parent reports.
PrepareBuddy
PrepareBuddy sells to institutes, with the SAT among its 15 exams, including IELTS, TOEFL and PTE. It does not publish prices: each institution gets a quote, with no setup fee, and the first month is free. Its SAT tests are generated by AI on request, and it gives parents a private view-only link, with a one-student PDF report for parent meetings.
StudySpaces
StudySpaces sells to tutoring and test-prep businesses, with school and district programs on a quote, and not to students. It publishes a monthly price that covers your first 10 active students, then a fee for each one after that, and includes white-label in every plan. It also mentions a standard one-time setup fee on its referral and NTPA pages, waived for referred businesses and NTPA members; its pricing page does not mention one. It gives a six-week free trial to tutoring organisations using its official ACT content, and a founder runs a 30-minute demo. It covers the SAT, PSAT, SSAT and ISEE, with official ACT materials as an add-on, and sends automated recurring parent reports.
Test Innovators
Test Innovators has a page for SAT tutors. It publishes its student plans and gives educators a discount on student pricing, larger in bulk, and the educator tools free with five student licences; its bulk and white-label prices are not published. A tutor can give each student one full-length SAT practice test free. It covers the ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, PSAT, SAT and ACT, has been in business since 2012, and gives tutors visual score reports to share; no parent report is described.
Test Ninjas
Test Ninjas sells to students and runs a white-label classroom for tutors and test prep centers. Educator licences are one-time, one per student per exam, with volume discounts and no platform subscription or teacher-seat fees; unused licences never expire, and prices for educators are not published. Every new classroom comes with three free student accounts, and its educator team offers setup help and free migration from your current platform. Its classroom for educators covers the SAT, ACT and AP (its student site also sells SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, SHSAT and TACHS prep), with parent reports that show section scores and progress.
TutorWand
TutorWand sells digital SAT and GRE tests to students, tutors and institutes, and its summary page names independent tutors. Tests are priced per attempt: single tests and packs for students, and a quote by number of attempts for institutes. Public demo tests show the test screen before you buy. Its reports go to students, parents and management.
VEGA AI
VEGA AI addresses its test prep pages to tutors and institutes, and also sells to course creators and corporate training. It publishes monthly plans by number of active users, and it starts free, with AI credits. It covers the digital SAT, SHSAT (built from past papers you upload), ACT, AP, GRE, GMAT and TOEFL, plus general courses, and offers an AI avatar trained on your own content. Its reports give insights to parents and educators.
VindicaOS
VindicaOS sells to SAT and AP academies, schools, tutoring studios and private practices, from one seat. It publishes a monthly price per active student, with no setup or per-test fee and no annual contract or minimum, and gives a free academy account with a built-in demo student, under your academy's name and colour. Its AI drafts homework from each student's misses for the teacher to approve, and parent reports wait for the teacher's review before they go out in the academy's name.
What to ask before you sign up
- Price your own roster. Ask what you would pay with the number of students you have now, and with twice as many.
- Ask about the commitment. Monthly or yearly, a minimum number of students, a setup fee, and what happens to your students' data if you stop.
- Run one student through. A full-length test, the report you would read before the next session, and what the parent would receive.
- Time your week. Count the minutes it would take to assign work, read results and update parents for the students you have now.

How we chose and checked them
- Who is on the list. The same twelve as our main list: platforms that sell to tutoring companies, academies or tutors, not only to students; that cover the digital SAT with full-length practice tests; and whose own websites describe the product well enough to compare. Not all of them mention tutors who work alone; the “Sold to” column says whom each website names.
- Where the facts come from. Each company's own website, read on 24 October 2026: its tutor, pricing and product pages. Where a website does not answer a check, the table says “Not stated publicly”.
- What is left out. Prices, because they change: the table says how each price is built, not how much it is. Review-site ratings and scores of our own.
- The order. PrepMora first, because it is ours; the other eleven in alphabetical order, with no scores.
