Same format as the real exam

The structure your students will meet on test day.

Each practice test follows the digital SAT module by module, with the same question counts and the same time limits. Correct answers stay hidden until the test is finished, exactly as in Bluebook.

Standard timing. Accommodations extend it.

The exam screen

The tools students use in Bluebook, where they expect them.

The test screen is always the white, academic exam look, even when the rest of PrepMora is in dark mode, so practice feels like the real thing.

Official Desmos calculator

The graphing calculator in every Math module is the real Desmos, the same tool students get on test day, not a look-alike.

Mark for review and cross out

Students flag questions to come back to, cross out choices they have ruled out and check their work on the review page before a module ends.

Highlights and reference sheet

Passages can be highlighted with a mouse, a finger or a pencil, and the math reference sheet is one click away.

Timer that can be hidden

The countdown runs per module and can be hidden, as in Bluebook. Unscheduled breaks are there too, with the clock still running.

Accommodations

Time and one-half, double time, extra breaks, extended breaks and breaks as needed, with the timing College Board publishes for each.

Laptop or iPad

Runs in the browser on laptops, desktops and iPads, in landscape and portrait. Nothing to install, nothing for your IT team to manage.

After the test

A score you can trust, and a reason behind every miss.

  • Scores from real score tables. Section scores come from score-conversion tables, so a practice score is a fair estimate, not a flattering one.
  • Skill-level breakdown. Every question is tagged by domain and skill, so the result says what to work on, not only how many were wrong.
  • Explanations for every question. Math explanations go step by step, including the Desmos keystrokes; Reading and Writing explanations show why the right choice is right and the others are not.
  • Straight to the teacher. Results land in the mentor panel and in the next parent report without anyone typing them in.

Between tests

Practice that keeps the skill report moving.

Question bank

3,770 questions sorted by section, domain, skill and difficulty, each with a step-by-step explanation. Teachers assign sets; students drill their weakest skills.

Mistake log

Every question a student got wrong, from tests and practice, collected in one place to retry until it sticks.

Vocabulary and reading drills

Short daily drills for vocabulary and a timed reading drill where students summarise a passage from memory, five levels from easy to hard.

Questions about the tests

Are these official College Board tests?

No. They are PrepMora practice tests written to the digital SAT's specification: the same structure, question types, difficulty range and timing. College Board's own official practice tests are in Bluebook, and we recommend your students take those as well.

How long is each practice test?

2 hours 14 minutes of testing, the same as the real digital SAT: two Reading and Writing modules of 27 questions and 32 minutes each, a 10-minute break, then two Math modules of 22 questions and 35 minutes each. 98 questions in all.

Do students get explanations?

Yes. Every question has a worked explanation, shown after the test on the results page. Math explanations walk through the solution step by step, including how to do it in the Desmos calculator.

Can students with accommodations use them?

Yes. A student can take a test with time and one-half, double time, extra breaks, extended breaks or breaks as needed, following College Board's published timing rules for the digital SAT.

Which devices do the tests run on?

Any modern browser on a laptop or desktop, and on iPad in both landscape and portrait. There is nothing to install.

Are scores shown during the test?

No. As on test day, a student only sees right and wrong answers after finishing, on the results page.

Let your students try a full test.

Every academy starts with a two-week free trial, so your students can sit a complete practice test before you decide.
